Who we are. Pewter is a trading name of Podiar Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU. We're the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: hello@getpewter.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send us your menu: your name, email, phone, venue name, type and postcode, the menu file or link you send, and the plan you're interested in.
When you join early access or register interest: the tools you're interested in, venue type, number of sites, the till you use, anything you tell us about your biggest headache, and your contact details.
When you use our website: anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, rough location by country, device type) via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across sites.

Why we use it (and our lawful basis)

To redesign your menu and reply to you: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
To understand demand for new tools (e.g. which tills venues use): our legitimate interest in deciding what to build. We look at this in aggregate.
To send occasional updates: only if you tick the box (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run Pewter: Cloudflare (website hosting, form storage and spam protection) and our email provider for sending replies. If you become a customer, we'll also use a payment provider (Stripe). Some providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and early-access sign-ups: up to 24 months after our last contact. Menu files you send us: up to 12 months unless you become a customer, in which case we keep them while you're with us. Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@getpewter.co.uk. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
